On Wednesday November 18th, our local chapter hosted our first annual Teach-In Day at local Frangus Elementary School. 10 ASHRAE volunteers spoke to 12 classes of over 300 students in grades 3rd through 5th about their jobs in the construction engineering field. Our members connected with the students through engineering, math and science related activities from paper airplane contests to building towers using only spaghetti and marshmallows.
