r final meeting of the ASHRAE 2006/2007 season is Dwight Landry with BRD No=
ise and Vibration Control. His presentation will include a discussion of no=
ise abatement of outdoor mounted air-conditioning equipment such as air-coo=
led chillers. Attendees will learn how proper sound attenuation can be used=
 to minimize complaints from neighbors and avoid conflict with local inspec=
tors and other officials. Several methods of sound attenuation will be revi=
ewed as well as examples of existing sound attenuation projects.=0D=0AMr. L=
andry has 23 years experience in the acoustical design, consulting and manu=
facturing field. In 1982 he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Civ=
il Engineering Degree from Nicholls State University. He has completed the =
=93Fundamental Acoustical Design and Engineering=94 curriculum offered by U=
nited McGill Corporation. In addition he has completed =93Exploring New Per=
spectives in Acoustics=94 and the =93Modern Design of Acoustical Solutions =
for HVAC Equipment=94 curriculums offered by Ohio State University.=0D=0AHe=
 has designed, manufactured and consulted on thousands of solutions for the=
 HVAC, Industrial, Architectural and Environmental markets. Mr Landry has p=
resented over 100 seminars and training classes on the design and applicati=
on of acoustic and noise control measures for numerous groups including the=
 Acoustical Society of America, the American Institute of Architects and AS=
