ContentProgramsNEW Dinner Meeting LocationDubsdread Historic Banquet Hall 549 W. Par St. Orlando, FLWelcome back to ASHRAE! I know that you’ve missed the meetings and wonderful meals. Well maybe the meals weren’t always wonderful but the speakers were so good that you probably never noticed. Well now we’re going to have wonderful meals also at a great location! Starting in September our dinner meetings will be held at the Dubsdread Historic Banquet Hall at Dubsdread Golf Course. This location is just north of Orlando and has easy access to I-4 (see map at end of newsletter). The banquet Hall features an outdoor deck for enjoying the scenery and socializing. It’s a large facility so we will have plenty of room – no more setting up tables in the entranceway! Come and check out our new digs at the October meeting. By: Todd Moore, P.E. President Elect & Programs Chair Membership PromotionWelcome to another ASHRAE exciting year! After the summer break, I would like to welcome everybody to another year. This is my first year as the Membership Committee Chairman and I need your help. Our Chapter needs your help to promote ASHRAE. Please make an effort to bring a new membership candidate to our meeting. We also want to bring back those members who have not being attending our monthly meeting. It is our hope that everyone employed in our industry in the local community can be involved in the activities of ASHRAE’s Central Florida Chapter. Another way you can help is by attending our monthly meetings. Annual Dues Please be sure to watch for your membership renewal from ASHRAE. These dues enable ASHRAE to fund industry research, the publication of monthly journals and annual handbooks, develop standards that strengthen our industry, and support the activities of our local Chapter Florida Chapter. Membership – Changes and Status If you have changed employers, moved and/or unsure of your current membership status, please call Society membership at 800-527-4723. For membership information and applications, please contact Miguel Quiles at 407-292-4400 ext. 271 or mquiles@addison-hvac.com. Thank you for your support. Miguel A. Part of the Refrigeration
Committee’s push is to add new members from other refrigeration societies
dealing with non-comfort cooling, as well as having joint meetings or programs.
If anyone attends or knows people in other societies including but not limited
to the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration at http://wwwiiar.org
or Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians at http://www.reta .com,
please provide contact information to Brian Mirus bmirus@grgce.com. We
would like to expand our chapter’s membership and learn more about non-comfort
cooling refrigeration.
