Established Consulting Engineering firm office based in Orlando as part of a 475 person engineering firm, has an immediate opportunity for a degreed and preferably licensed Mechanical Engineer. The successful candidates will have experience on Commercial building projects and on projects in other market sectors as well such as Healthcare and Laboratories. This individual would handle varied tasks including HVAC engineering and design, equipment selection and specifications, mathematical calculations and research of applicable building codes, ASHRAE standards and other pertinent energy efficiency related industry standards. Vanderweil prefers experience that includes full project involvement from design documents to construction documents and Commissioning. Prior direct client interaction is also important including project meetings and business development. Full salary and benefits with advancement.

Central Florida is hiring an Intelligent Services Account Manager.

Intelligent Services are data-driven, technology-enabled services that enhance building operations and management. Your building has data streaming through it that is ready to be deciphered and translated into usable information. At Trane, we speak the language buildings. Intelligent Services connect you and your building to our global team of professional advisors who understand how to strategically leverage systems data to make operational improvements that are aligned to the building’s purpose—and your mission.

 This critical member of our Intelligent Services team will be responsible for driving Trane's Intelligent Services strategy through developing long-term customer relationships and maximizing account penetration and customer retention with building owners. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Links our Intelligent Services offerings with our Customer for Life strategy.

  • Identifies potential opportunities with existing and new customers.

  • Partners closely with Controls Account Managers pre-bid to determine the most effective IS offerings and tools to support customer’s building needs.

  • Owns customer satisfaction, in partnership with fulfillment resources, for the entire existing Controls Service agreement base.

  • Mines existing Controls Service Agreement base for Intelligent Service opportunities.

  • Manages Intelligent Services customer base.

  • Maintains expert knowledge of current Trane offerings in intelligent services for various vertical markets.

  • Partners closely with both Building Owner Account Managers and Systems Account Managers; serves as internal Intelligent Services champion and subject matter expert.

  • Gathers and validates preliminary information and performs facility walk-through, construction plan review or other requirements.

  • Determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer’s HVAC system design and installation requirements.

  • Develops, evaluates, and discusses possible solutions with customer.

  • Determines proposal price and selling strategy; Presents the proposal and negotiates price, terms, and conditions with customer.

  • Develops and executes an account specific business plan to identify the long-term, mutual support requirements required to facilitate a strong, profitable and successful partnership.

  • Provides total account business activity reports and annual forecasts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or equivalent from four-year college or university and 4-10 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • CEM is a plus

  • Track record of success in technical sales

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:

    • DUI in the previous 5 years

    • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
